23 Months.

Time is fleeting, they say. And I have never been more sure.

We are 30 days away from age 2. Which means little girl, not babe.

Two years ago this week was when the countdown really began. I was sent to the hospital for the first time on election day being told I may be having a baby today. And they told me that three more times before the real deal.

Apparently sometimes even doctors have a hard time knowing when it's time. But E held strong. She still does, really.

Two. She says and holds up one finger.

So her brother, her BFF and partner in crime most days tries showing her the way.

In more ways than this, really.

H is my joyful, lover of life and E, she's a little love. She knows how to love mightily.

With all her little might.

Whether it's her cheezy, crazy smile and the ragamuffin pigtails or the hugs and kisses she gives. The way she says I love you and the way she makes people feel when she sees them. She loves people.

And she really loves babies.

I am pretty sure that we could get away without buying her any presents for her birthday if we would just get her one of those real babies!

You are a gem, a sparkly, most beautiful gem full of love that we just love.
