Smell!

I'm sitting outside watching E run amok in the yard. A neighbor girl who has aptly named me the "helmet police" filled the back of E's cozy coupe with some delightful looking dandelions and E is grabbing them from the back of her cozy coupe and running them to me. One at a time. "Smell!" She tells me as she whisks it past my nose then sets it on the chair next to me.

"Smell!"

I gave up the nap battle today but I did fight a good fight. She sang and she read books and she only called me in once or twice but I knew the last time I went in that she wasn't going to be having it.

Apparently I breed the kinds of kids that give up naps early.

It's ok. H worked all the kinks and frustrations out of me it seems.

These days when nap doesn't work out, while some days it's disappointing when I see that my to-do list lost the battle once again, for the most part, it's just one more opportunity to stop and to smell.

The dandelions, in today's case.

Last night our family of six dined at the newest Noodles and Company location. Directly across from Ridgedale mall in Ridge Square, they officially opened today! It's a great lunch spot before hitting the lakes this summer with plenty of seating. I even like the idea of having another place to go eat after shopping at the mall!

Noodles would like to give away some noodle bowls to my readers. So...if you've got a Noodles near you, share your favorite Noodles summer dish and why?

Noodles and Company will choose their three favorite {most creative} answers and each winner will receive two free noodle bowls on Monday, May 16.

Disclosure: Noodles and Company gave our family a complimentary dinner at their pre-opening event. They are also giving away the noodle bowls.

I love that I'm friends with the Helmet Police! I don't have a favorite Noodles dish because I've only been there once, when I won your gift cards last time (and I took my friend and her kids). I couldn't even tell you what I got, but it was delicious!

Every time I go there, I have the same thing - Wisconsin Mac n cheese!! It is so good I can't resist! I'm sure all their other dishes are fantastic too, but I'm such a sucker for the classics!! ;)

Thanks, Rachel

I, too, love the Wisconsin Mac n Cheese. I love that when you get your dish you have to mix the cheese into the noodles to get it to melt. And it's the kind of cheese that becomes gooey when melted, leaves a trail hanging out of your mouth and when broken, slaps you in the face. I usually order it with chicken and a bread roll. An all-American classic ;)

My favorite Noodles summer dish...hmm, it's hard to pick just one! Maybe the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese--and really, it's a favorite ANYTIME dish. There's not really ever a time when I'm not craving mac & cheese. :) And Noodles' version is pure gooey, cheesy deliciousness! I also love the Pesto Cavatappi. A fresh, lighter flavor for summer.

E is so cute! I remember collecting dandelions and putting them in a glass of water on the kitchen table for my mom when I was little haha =) As for Noodles - I personally enjoy the Tuscan Linguine because it's a delicious way to eat my veggies!

Not to sound like a broken record, but my favorite as well is the Wisconsin Mac n Cheese. It's a classic dish and a favorite of mine from growing up. Just talking about it is making my mouth water now...

My husband and I love that Noodles and Company has such a great variety of flavors. Curry one day, mac and cheese the next, Noodles and Company never gets old! We also love that they treat you to a free dish around your birthday. They are truly a customer-centered business, catering to the needs of busy families.

We love Noodles! I took the boys there last week. Carson loves the buttered noodles and the flatbread and Dayne loves the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese. I always go Mediterranean with the Pesto Cavatappi adding chicken and a delicious Ceasear Salad.

Pad Thai with chicken everytime! The rest of the family digs the Wisco Mac n Cheese. The rice crispy bars are delish too, but that is really not an entree now is it? :)

I love Noodles and Company--my husband and I usually get the braised beef stroganoff but with the whole wheat linguini (yay fiber! :) ) and my son LOVES the Wisconsin mac & cheese with parmesan chicken. We ALL order extra sauce for extra goodness! :)
