First Day of School


We got home yesterday afternoon and rushed about to get ready for today.

The infamous, first day of school.

It's here.
We had a nice morning and wished the kids well at the bus stop.
And off they went.

I've got lots of updates to come about the wedding, our time in Chicago and accomplishing goals, but for now that will have to wait as we start the new school year.

Below is a fun video from yesterday at my parents house. H, M and I flew and J and T drove so we were waiting (for hours) for them.

exCUSE me, but miss m. looks fanTAStic! i want to borrow her skirt! such a cutie. i'm sorry we weren't able to play together while she was over the other night....crazy energetic hyperactive h. needed constant attention! :)

Seeing your dad push H and M on the swingset was dear. Those kids love their Grandpa (and Grandma!)

i always loved the first day of school....planning the perfect outfit to wear (which looking back, were often not QUITE as cute as i had thought), buying pencils and pens and notebooks, and the smell of autumn in the air!

i still enjoy looking at the photos that my mom would take of us as she sent us off. i'm sure that M and T (and some day, H!) will, too:)
