Cutting Down Our Christmas Tree: A Picture Story.

E has a really, really hard time walking in the snow.

H was full speed ahead searching for the perfect tree. {And bears. He said he saw lots of bears.}

While J and H methodically figured out how to cut the tree down, E and I stood cuddling up away from the wind.

The petting zoo at B&J Evergreen was great. Camels! Sheep! Pigs! Goats! We spent a good chunk of time here while J was busy doing this....

It's official we are having a REAL tree Christmas this year. By far the easiest part was going to the tree farm, cutting it down and getting it home. We even talked on the way home about making this our new tradition and how much fun we were having.

Then we got home and the real work began. We thought it'd be a 30 minute job to get the tree up. More like 3 hours.

But the tree is up. It's beautiful. And it's awaiting lights and decorations tomorrow night when T and M return.

We have only great things to say about our time at B&J Evergreen though. They were friendly, completely helpful and very kind. We had to buy a tree stand and the woman in the office demonstrated everything we needed to do to make ours work. {It was still a little tricky for us, but we're first timers!} The petting zoo exceeded our expectations and for any looking for a Santa opp, there was no line and a jolly old man in a red suit awaiting kids all afternoon long.
