Well, Hello Winter.

It was my favorite kind of morning.

H came in our room, excited to start a day and I could faintly see below the blinds that there was snow a-blowing. He couldn't see it quite yet, didn't remember from last night.

E was jumpin' and singin' in her crib, pretty much the way she starts every day.

Our eyes were heavy and we were cozy. J got up and got E and I snuck to the kitchen to get cereal and sippy cups.

It's my favorite kind of morning where we four lay in bed and watch cartoons {or in the case this morning, Marmaduke!} and the kids nibble on dry cereal and drink their milk and we slowly start the day. I consider it a treat.

The week is full of alarm clocks and routines where we await bus times and morning plans.

All of a sudden, something clicked with H and he remembered the snow. {He also remembered to report to J that I gave E some macaroni that had milk in it yesterday by accident! Guilty as charged!}

And once he caught sight of it, we were up and gathering hats and mittens, trying on old boots.

My littles were in their outdoor garb around 8am and H dug right in on the deck, throwing snowballs and pulling the sled around.

E, wasn't quite so sure about this white, fluffy COLD stuff. So her time outside was short lived. She did spend quite a bit of time looking  at the outside though. Admiring the bright, white snow.

H, on the other hand, would live outside if we let him. He's played on the deck. He's been sledding on the back hill and just now at 7:30pm, I had to pull him inside from building a snow fort with T and M.

We're just enjoying and living up that "first snow" honeymoon. If you live in Minnesota, you know what I'm talking about.

Hello, winter.

Not fair! All we got was grey and rainy. I'm glad that your kids got to play in the snow. Also, I'm glad that I can still wear flip flops most of the time because Jason stinks at tying my shoes!
